Dr. Mani Vadari
Founder and President
Dr. Vadari is Founder and President of the Spark Summer Internship Program, a Washington State non-profit company that focuses on creating internship opportunities for high school kids in the greater Seattle area. Dr. Vadari has a deep passion in mentoring people of all ages and has decided to channel that passion to working with various entities in the greater Seattle area to provide a broad range of internship opportunities to high school students.
Dr. Vadari is also founder and President of Modern Grid Solutions delivering consulting and training services to a global set of entities (cities, utilities and vendors) seeking deep subject matter expertise in developing the next-generation electric energy and other sustainable mechanisms. His past roles have been VP of Infrastructure at Battelle Memorial Institute, Partner and Global lead for System Operations and Smart Grid at Accenture, Lead engineer at Alstom Grid, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Murali Krishnan has been a technology leader for over twenty years. He received his MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He led innovative projects in web servers, online commerce and communication services for Microsoft. His contributions include high performance web server, worldwide platform for online commerce to enable Xbox Live, Windows App Stores, Office365, Azure, and 30 other cloud services in Microsoft. He led v1 efforts to create phone app stores, transaction and micropayment systems. He led teams to develop big data systems with machine learning to provide timely insights for better customer experience in Office365 and Windows Phone. He has filed for more than 40 US Patents. He also advises startups on technology, business, and project management. Murali enjoys reading, skiing, green buildings, and coaching. He volunteers time at kids schools, Tamil school, and with a few local associations focused on environment and education.
